Closing out February!

So the rest of February wasn't nearly as eventful as the first half, thank goodness!  However, we managed to keep pretty busy between our weekly routine, Clay's art class, my photography class, and MOPS.  Around the 24 of February, I started getting nostalgic with all kinds of "This time last year" thoughts.  That's because that time last year, I had my final baby shower on a Saturday and on the following Monday (1 day shy of 34 weeks) I went into labor and all of that fun stuff like bed rest (that worked out just fine) started.  It seemed like almost every day from the 24th on I was saying this time last year Rachel was staying with me to help out, or this time last year I was on bed rest, etc.  Last year's experience, while scary ended in the birth of my most favorite first born child and I wouldn't change it for the world.  That being said, I bears mentioning that every time we had a this time last year convo, it ended with us saying, we are so blessed but I am so happy that we're here one year later with this guy (insert smiling baby here!).

Anywho, here are some pics of our last few weeks of February:

Clay in one of the super cool shopping carts at Whole Foods!  He thought (and was correct) that he was one cool dude!  He thought it was even cooler when he could steer both wheels at once!

After the Winter Wonderland that was the first half of February, we had some great weather that required shorts in order to be comfortable.  We took full advantage of the weather and spent several afternoons at the park by our house!

Ahhh, the side effects of MOPS.  While I LOVE the organization, Clay got sick almost every time we went.  The thing is, if he didn't get sick there, he would be getting sick when we start Mother's Day out this Fall.  So, while I hate for him to be sick, I'd rather it happen sooner rather than later when we're paying a monthly tuition.  This time Clay picked up what the doctor thinks was Roseola.  It's basically causes a high fever, cold like symptoms and ends with a rash.  He only ever had the fever part of it but he also had his first ear infection.  Poor baby!

His discovery of stair climbing translated itself into climbing up onto the hearth of our fireplace.  He thinks that's a great place to play; Mommy adamantly disagrees!  Oh well, he's cuter than any other home decor item I've placed there!
That's about it for February!
