WEEK 28

Hi!

Well, I’ve officially entered the third trimester of the pregnancy. In some ways I feel like time is going by so quickly but in other ways (like when I realize that I found out I was pregnant during the summer), I feel like it’s been a very long time (but enjoyable just the same)!

Jim, Clay and I had a great time on our babymoon this past weekend. I am so glad that we took the time to get away and enjoy one last pre-baby vacay! While we were gone, Clay’s bedding came in (I FINALLY found something that I liked!). Having the bedding makes things feel so much more real and I feel like I can plan more details specific to the room. The bedding is a retro inspired with a geometric element – the colors are white, khaki, chocolate (both hot chocolate and chocolate bar colored), apple green, dusty blue, and a muted teal. I’ll take a picture once we have the crib set up.

One really cool thing that Week 28 brought is that Jim was able to hear Clay’s heart beat by putting his ear to my belly. We’ve been reading for a few weeks that he may be able to do this but this week was the first time. I love that Jim was finally able to hear the heart beat; I feel like there is so much of this pregnancy that only I get to experience so I kind of like the fact that Jim gets to experience something that I don’t.

I think that’s just about it. I hope that you’re doing well!

Much love,
EM
