At week 29, Clay (and I) are getting bigger by the day! Not only that, but our house is definitely starting to look like a baby is about to arrive. We’ve got our jogging stroller set up in one room, our car seat and snap and go stroller in another, and – drum roll, please the crib set up in Clay’s room!!!
Over the weekend my dad and Jim cleared all of my “childhood furniture” out of the nursery and moved it to my dad’s house. Then Jim spent time Sunday diligently setting up the crib – it looks great!!!! I hope to get the bedding on it within the next two weeks. Once that’s done, I’ll send a picture for sure!
A not new development but new recognition is that I’ve been having Braxton Hicks contractions (apparently, you have BHC from the beginning – they help the uterus expand – but you may never feel them.) My favorite neighborhood “doctor”, Kelly, helped me identify them – I have tensing that does not bother me at all just below my sternum once or twice a day. Well, that’s Braxton Hicks! I think that realization fueled my dream last night in which I started to go into labor!
This weekend we head to an all day birthing class. It’s at the hospital where I’ll be delivering so we’re both pretty excited. I’ve heard the class is pretty granola-hippie in its approach (I just want to hear about the drugs that will be available to me) but we’ll also get a tour of the hospital which should help me a lot. I’m a pretty visual person so if I can start envisioning what the delivery day will look like, it should help any anxiety subside.
Enjoy your day and have a great weekend!
