WEEK 25 & 26

Hi!

Special treat this week, I included a picture of me and Clay looking bright eyed and bushytailed (hey it’s 6:45 am and I’m getting ready to leave for work!) Anywho, this is what we look like with him weighing in at about 2 lbs and me weighing in at “radiant”.

I didn’t send an update last weeks since I was on vacation but there have been a few developments:

- Supposedly you can hear the baby’s heart through the belly. Starting at week 25, Jim started trying to listen for it. Clay must think this is a fun game because he won’t let him hear anything but he will kick Daddy in the face!
- We’ve found our day cares – hooray!!! We’ll be at my on-site Daycare for 2 months and then move to a place closer to the house. It’s funny, because the places with the longest waiting lists weren’t the places where we felt comfortable. The places that can get us in were the ones where we really liked the teachers and they seemed to love on all the kids (guess you really do have to let go and let God!)
- We’ve pre-registered for the hospital; that was crazy – we even know how much we’ll owe for a normal delivery!
- We’re enrolled in a birthing class (I’ve heard they don’t do a good job of depicting what labor is really like but it will be good to get the tour and kind of figure out what we’re in for).
- At last week’s appointment, the doctor did a sonogram and said the baby looks good – strong heart beat and plenty of fluid. I go back next week and they’re checking that again.

I guess that’s about it. We haven’t done anything else on the nursery (my doctor limited my activities for the next few weeks so no extra physical exertion for the next couple of weeks and everything we’d need to do like packing up and shopping falls within that extra – or at least it does when I’m doing it since I’m a “hunter and gatherer” when it comes to shopping).
