Just plain ducky (and lucky)

When family and friends who knew Jim and me as babies look at Clay they easily note that Clay has his Daddy's brows, nose, and facial expressions.  They also note (regardless of if they knew me way back when) that  he quite obviously has my eyes.  Well one other thing that little peanut got from me, was my hair (at least as a baby / toddler).  His sweet little coif is downy like a duck's and has earned him the moniker "fuzzy head".  Well, if you look really close in the picture below, fuzzy head had quite the duck tail in the back.  The solution was a quick snip snip!

Duck Tail, oo ooo!

This isn't all the hair that was cut that evening but it's a little bit of it!  I didn't save  the hair (I know, in most books that makes me not very sentimental but I just couldn't imagine that one day Clay would say, "Mama, I'd really like to have that little bit of hair" so I took a picture of it instead because I know he'll come to me and say "Mama, I'd really like to look at the first bit of hair you and Daddy cut from my head" - yes, that will ABSOLUTELY happen one day!  :))

Post trim "do"!
