April was a fun busy month for our little family of three! We celebrated birthdays, visited the bluebonnets, celebrated Easter, went to the butterfly gardens and more; here's a recap of our month in pictures.
| Clay on April Fool's Day - aren't I lucky to wake up to this happy little guy each and every day?!? |
Clay's buddy, Claire, who had the same due date as him (but ended up being 11 days younger) had her birthday party a week after Clay. The afternoon was so much fun and Clay even got a very neat personalized t-shirt out of it! So glad we were able to celebrate with Clay's birth buddy!
On Claire's actual birthday, we met the birthday girl, her mama, and her grandma at the Arboretum for more fun!
| We explored the old western town and hung out in a tee-pee for a bit; I think the kiddos were a little weirded out by the animal skins in there (we were too). |
| Clay LOVES his three in one trike from Mema! |
| At Home Depot with Mama and loving it! |
We took advantage of Texas in Spring and met up with Clay's pals (Alex and Addison) in Garland for some pictures in the bluebonnets.
| Rub-a-dub-dub, three friends in a tub! |
| Someone wasn't happy when Mama put him down. :( |
We met up with our playgroup buds for morning at the Texas Discovery Garden where we were able to see tons of beautiful butterflies, crawl up stairs, picnic, and enjoy a fountain.

| Ella Grace had a pre-lunch snack of dirt (even with a messy face, she sure is a cutie!) |

| BABY INVASION!!!! |

| This reminds me of the end of Ocean's 11 |

| Clay and Claire |
It only took six months, but Clay and Jack (Dori's precious little boy) finally got to meet! I think the heat wore them out but they were both so very good at brunch!
| Sweet boys with the first ladies who loved them! |
| Clay looks a little concerned about all the Pi Phi love coming his way |
Just before Easter, Miss Ella Grace and her sweet mama invited us and some of their mutual buds over for a fun Easter Celebration complete with a yummy brunch spread, bunny cake, party favors, and an egg hunt!

| Clay's egg haul! |
Clay started swim lessons at The Y. His big take away was learning how to blow bubbles (which also resulted in him clearly saying "bubbles" once and since then he says "bubu" for bubbles).
Toward the end of April, we headed to Lubbock to celebrate this Little Princess's 3rd birthday!
While in Lubbock, we got to celebrate Easter too! The easter bunny filled up TWO baskets for Clay and we were able to do a fun egg hunt (Cousin Joseph was a huge help in making sure that Clay found just as many eggs as his cousins).
| What a haul! This is Clay's homemade Easter bucket! |
| The Fernihoughs |
| Nana, Gramps, Granny, and Poppa |
We closed out April with a visit from Yaya! She came to town so that she could participate in the annual 5K that the Junior Women's League hosts and so that she could let us go to the JWL social that evening. That also happened to be the weekend of the Royal Wedding. We celebrated with crowns and cupcakes and our very own little prince!
| After the 5K we went to the neighborhood carnival. Clay got to ride his first pony! Daddy gave me a hard time about putting him on such a colorful horse but hey, it was still a good time! |
| Clay loved him strawberry cupcake! |
So glad you are almost updated! I have so many comments but each time I read a new topic, I forget my last thought so here goes: Claire and Clay are so cute together---Love Clay's tie in the bluebonnets! So dapper:) ---Love the pic of Ella Grace with the dirt face---Go Jenny! Nice Easter party!---Baby Jack is so adorable:)---Love that the Fernihough family pic is of a family of four and that now they are a family of FIVE--Love that you have a pic of Clay on a rainbow horse followed by a pic of him in a tiny crown eating a cupcake. Show's he is very confident of his manhood. :)
