The thing the articles didn't quite prepare me for was making (what could be) "the drive" to the hospital to deliver Clay 3-5 weeks before we expect him to be here sans dramatic events like my water breaking or intense contractions coming every 5 minutes. That being said, the following is the picture of Clay and me at 35 weeks just before we left for the hospital (wish I would have been a little more with it and I would have slapped on some makeup):
New dream and all, bed rest hasn't been bad. My first day here, they found that I was having contractions and were able to give me medicine that would stop the contractions. About 36 hours after being admitted, I had my first monitoring session where there weren't any contractions. Since then, I've been monitored 2 more times (and Clay has looked great every single time) and both of these times I didn't have any contractions either.
This is great news because it means that the medicine is working the way it should. It also means that my doctor may release me to complete the rest of my bed rest at home! That would be fantastic (I have to say 84 hours in one room with no fresh air is a little intense!) All in all, I am grateful for the new dream I am learning and I'll keep you posted on any new developments!
Love to all!
Erin
