Clay is Here!!!

It's been woefully long since I posted to the blog - one month to be exact! A LOT has happened in that time, 11 days after my last post, our sweet baby, Clay decided to make his way into the world (or rather, my body's reaction to what turned into preeclampsia decided that our baby needed to make his appearance on Thursday, March 25, 2010).

There is SOOO much to be said but with a newborn who desperately needs cuddles and coaxing to sleep, I'll have to be brief and save the lengthy post for another time... Clay was born after about 5 1/2 hours of labor and 13 minutes of pushing on Thursday, March 25, 2010. He is healthy and perfect in absolutely every way. At three weeks early, he weighed in at 6 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. He is so precious and looks like his Daddy (my mother in law sent pictures of Jim as a baby and if you look at them in comparison to Clay, you'd think it's the same baby!).

In closing, I'll share a few photos (Clay's first pictures with Mommy and Daddy - just look at the cute baby and not the tired Mommy and a picture of him right after we got home!)
