Our first two weeks at home were made much easier by the presence of my mom and then Jim's mom. It meant that Jim and I had experts on hand and had had relief so that we could get a little more sleep. After that, Clay and I were on our own at home and we had a blast! One part of our daily "routine" (okay, actually the only thing that was really routine) was a daily picture that we sent to Daddy and to the grand parents. I'm posting these pictures in this posting because they capture a lot of Clay's "firsts" and they are some of my favorite pictures!
This surprised face is one of my favorite pictures!!! (April 14)

This is Clay's first time wearing footie pajamas to bed, prior to this we'd always swaddled him but this boy LOVES his arms too much to have them tethered to his side (April 15).
If Clay becomes a rock star, we'll know that it was nature and not nurture since he seemed to have the look down before his one month birthday! (April 16)
I think the caption for this picture should be "what do you mean it looks like I ate my twin" (April 26). He'd just eaten and it's a funky angle that made him look bigger than he is but it just cracks me up! I sent this picture to my family with the same caption listed above and Clay quickly got his revenge for Mommy teasing about his belly.... within in seconds of me sending the photo he spit up all over me. :)

This is the first picture of Clay smiling! He's smiled in his sleep since day one and had given Mommy and Daddy smiles prior to this but this was the first time we were able to capture it. I'd been changing his diaper and we were talking and he just thought everything I said was smile worthy so I was able to capture it - woo hoo (May 13)!!!
I'll post some more pictures and stories soon but the bottom line is that Jim and I love Daddy-Mommyhood and think it's sooo much fun. Clay is a super sweet baby and has been so very good to us. Hope all is well and that we'll get to see you all soon!
